Been So Long

It has been so long since i have been on here, I doubt anyone will even be reading this!

So i finally got a job, I'm a hostess right now but i hope to become a sever in the near future where i can make the real money! although, today i did make $7 in tips which was nice; the other day a gal made $34 in tips on one table of 4 people! I do enjoy my job but by the end of the day i am pooped and ready for bed and my husband still has all this energy. I guess now i have some idea what he went through for the last 4 years, Although i work only 5 hrs a day doing minute tasks! But i am so blessed that he worked so hard all those years and now i can bless him by going to work for awhile, while he furthers his education and i can eventually go back to being a stay at home mom!

You know, i dont know why people put down being a stay at home mom, it is the GREATEST gig a mom could have. I love my kids and love to spend time with them, what job could be better?!

Summer is doing awesome, she is such an amazing baby! She is always happy and smiley, she is a great blessing to this family.

Aubrey is doing terrific, she started preschool and dance class! She loves to spend time with other kids and hopefully she enjoys the learning aspect of it as well!

Both of the girls were baptized 2 Sundays ago and i have to say that during those moments i have never felt prouder to be a mom and so blessed to be a mother of two wonderful girls! As i dabbed Aubreys face with a towel it was like a slow motion experience in which I felt there was no greater moment in my life as a parent. To see the sign and seal of the conventant of Grace poured upon my children was a glorious moment indeed! Bless you Lord

CRAZY MAN AT THE BEACH

Today we went to the beach for our four year anniversary and while we were there we got a show from a fellow beach goer. A New Neighbor?

So the other night Ian and i were outside and we were playing with this new flashlight we got. Ian was shining it all over the backyard when he spotted a possum. We kept the light on him for awhile and he just stayed still for what seemed like 10 min. but was probably around 3. Then we were out at night a couple nights later and saw it again scurrying across our fence and then it disappeared on the side of the house and we heard it fall. So i got out the flashlight again to see if it landed in our yard, with a bit of trepidation and fear i might add not knowing whether or not this thing was going to fly out and attack me or kindly keep to itself. But he wasn't there; so i assume our neighbors had a closer view of him. Although, i don't know if it is a "he" b/c i was talking with my other neighbor and she said that she saw the possum with two babies on its back. But as long as it doesn't come to close to us, or attack our kitties, the possum, he or she, is welcome to stay.

Having another baby GIRL!!!

Ian and I went to the Dr.s today and we obviously found out we're having a girl! We are very excited, Ian was actually more excited to here that we are having a girl then if we were having a boy, he thinks that a little sister is just what Aubrey needs. I would still like to try again for a boy but we'll make that decision well after this baby comes. Ian seems to think that he'll be content with 2 but at this point I'd like to have at least 3, but then again i have NO idea what it's like to have 2 so like i said we'll just wait to make any final choice.

Such a Dork...

So i havent been very organized with my bills lately. I usually have a calendar on my desk where i write when all my bills are do. Well when last year ended i didnt get a new calendar, i figured that i would just remember when to pay my bills. So today i get home and i have a notice on my door that my water has been shut-off!!! So i obviously forgot to pay my water bill and they add a 10% fee for not paying and $25 to have it turned back on plus the month or two that i missed. And then i could only pay in cash and i lost my debit card so i had to walk across the street to my bank and pull out the payment, i got a little nervous to walk when i saw these 4 rough looking guys at the cross walk, but they went the other way so i was good, and it was broad day light and the bank was only like 50 ft away (if that.)

I cant just go online and pay my bill i have to send it in and i end up procrastinating (obviously) and so i think we'll just do an automatic withdrawl each month for our water bill and try to avoid this happening again. Thankfully we were only home for 4 hrs of it being off, but trying to cook dinner was a disaster; the only water we had was left over from Ian's lunch and i was dealing with chicken, so i wash my hands constantly and thats a little hard with a jug of water, and then the chicken slips off the plate and juice gets on my shirt and the counter and it was just a big mess with no easy source of water. But i managed it all and i just wore plastic shopping bags on my hands to avoid direct contact. WHAT A DAY!!! and yes my water is back on, YAY!!

so today we were supposed to find out the sex of the baby but the baby was being modest and not allowing us to take a look . The Dr. said that she thinks girl but only b/c there weren't any indications that the baby had boy parts but she wasnt clear about the baby being a girl either. So i'll go in in 4 weeks and we'll try again. I was really disappointed but we'll find out eventually...

Five on Friday

1. Aubrey slept all through the night last night! That is huge for her since she usually wakes up 3 times a night

2. Ian's been on spring break this past week and its been SO nice to have him home at night with us. Although, we really don't do much we're pretty boring people, maybe watch a movie and go to bed early.

3.My emotions have been so crazy lately. Ian can say the littlest of nothing comment and i end up crying hysterically, he's apologizing and not having a clue as to why. If this baby is a boy, it may just be the end of having kids for the Martin family.

4. Although i do want a boy, its would be much easier to have a girl b/c we have all the clothes, we've already done one girl, and we wouldn't have to repaint Aubrey's bedroom, bright pink just wouldn't suit a boy in this home.

5.We've realized that we are not animal people. We love animals but just in other peoples homes. We have two cats that have now become outdoor kitties. They've gotten fleas (YUCK!!!) and even petting them disgusts me. But they couldn't go back to being indoor cats, they just love being dirty to much. Oh Well.....

I cant believe its been almost three months since i've been on here! I've been so sick and tired that blogging was the last thing on my mind. I doubt anyone looks on here any more since its been so long but i thought i might try to get back into it.
So im now 20 weeks into my pregnancy! I'm half way through! I hope the second half is easier then the first. We'll find out the sex of the baby during my next appointment which is in 4 weeks. I just had my first appointment with my new Dr. yesterday but i didn't get to see the baby, which stunk but i did get to hear his/her heart beat which was exciting.
My precious Aubrey hasn't been so precious lately. She has started to hit and say the word stupid. I can't believe that she has picked up on that type of behavior. I'm sure other kids play a role in it as well but I'm with her so much that i see most of it. I really think that its from watching Disney movies. She has picked up on so much of the attitude and rebellious spirit that the characters have. I know kids go through this but it must come from somewhere.

Pregnancy Blues!

You know...God really must do something to the mothers mind after she gives birth that wipes away any recollection of the last 9 months of pregnancy. Before i got pregnant,this time around, i would tell people " Oh, i loved being pregnant, i can't wait to get pregnant again and blah blah blah..." WOW has my perspective changed...I'm not very far along, about 2 months, and I am not a happy momma!! I'm tired all the time, constantly feeling nauseous and this may sound gross, but its honest, I'd rather throw-up so that way it would be done and over with, but that's probably the grass being greener on the other side, if i can say that. Oh...and every bit of food just sounds disgusting, there is very few things that sound appetizing and it changes ALL the time. And my poor family has to deal with a mopey wife and mother. Well this will just have to serve as a reminder for the next time we think we want more kids...!
